Over the last couple of years, Gabriel has come out with some quite astonishing views on life which we thought we just had to share with you. We are amazed at how much he takes in and reminded that we should mind our tongues and watch how we act around the house!

  2005 Gabriel is sitting next to Beatrice. Beatrice starts crying and Manuela says "Oh dear! Beatrice is hungry" to which Gabriel gets all nervous and replies "but I don't have any boobies!!"

We've all just come downstairs and Manuela hasn't had a good morning kiss from Gabriel yet. She says "I haven't a kiss yet Gabriel!". Unfortunately, Gabriel isn't ready to give out kisses, and replies "I can't. I've got to scratch my bottom!"... how about that for rejection!
 
  November
2004		 Luc comes home from work and is playing with Gabriel. Luc picks up some cards which are strewn around the floor and tidies them up into a pile. Gabriel sees this and says "No!". Gabriel picks up the cards, throws them up in the air and they land evrywhere (just as they had been before Luc came along) and Gabriel says "That's perfect.".

Luc finishes running around the house looking for his phone and sits down at the breakfast table and says, "I must have left it at the office." Gabriel pipes up "Daddy left phone at work...silly OLD billy!"

Luc gets home from work. Manuela and Gabriel have been baking and Gabriel runs up to Daddy and says "Make cake (for) you!"

We tell Gabriel that Jane has had a baby girl and that her name is Katie. Gabriel replies despondently "I no have sister"

2004		 Manuela is telling Gabriel about brothers and sisters. She says "William has a brother, James. Henry is going to have a sister." Gabriel asks "I have a brother? I have a sister?" Manuela replies "No, not yet Gabriel". Gabriel screams and cries "I want a brother!".

While in the back garden with his Mummy, who is setting up the basketball net, but having a little difficulty, Gabriel says "Oh dear, need Daddy's help!"

Manuela is desperately looking around the house for her keys, when Gabriel quips "Oh no, Daddy take keys to office again!" (Luc took both sets of keys to work a couple of days beforehand!)
 
  Summer 2004 Gabriel's favourite game this summer seemed to be blame everything on Daddy: Gabriel is gardening with his Mother and a branch snaps? "Daddy broke it!"; Gabriel smears chocolate on the sofa and gets quizzed by Daddy when he gets back from work as to who did it? "Daddy did it!" (cheeky sod!)

Other Summer gems...

Walking up the stairs, Gabriel sees some dust and says to Daddy matter-of-factly "Dirty. Mummy clean."

Gabriel's Granny Irene has to go back to Portugal after visiting for a week, Gabriel says disconsolately "No more work?" (Irene had painted the front door, weeded the garden, planted new plants, re-seeded the lawn, cleaned the attic and countless other tasks in just one week!)
